AI Nerdy's Vocal & Music Separator splits an audio or video file into two tracks: vocals and music. Use it to hear speech or singing on its own, or to keep the background music for a separate edit. Your original recording stays unchanged.
How do you separate vocals and music?
Upload your recording, check the estimated Nerdium cost and start separation. When processing finishes, listen to the vocal and music previews. Download either track as MP3 or WAV. Video uploads also offer a video download with the selected track.
Which files can you upload?
Supported formats include MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV, MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC and OGG. Your file must contain audio and be no larger than 200 MB. There is no 10-minute recording limit; longer files take longer to process.
Will the two tracks sound completely separate?
Separation quality depends on the recording. Overlapping sounds, background noise and effects can leave traces in either track. Preview both results before using them in your next edit.
Can you return to a completed result?
Results are available for 24 hours after processing finishes. Sign into the same account with an eligible paid plan and reopen the result from Previous files. Returning does not cost extra Nerdium or extend the expiry. Download what you want to keep before automatic deletion. Moving to Free blocks access even before that deadline.
Which plans include the separator?
You need an AI Nerdy account with Starter or a higher paid plan. Free accounts cannot run separation, even with a Nerdium balance. Processing costs 1 Nd per minute, rounded up, with both tracks and all available downloads included. Failed jobs are refunded.
