Script Lab is where you write the rules your scripts follow. Hooks, pacing, sentence length, structure, the phrases you never want to hear again — you set them, test them on a real clip, and every video generated afterwards obeys them.
Why would I write my own script formula?
Because a generic formula produces generic output, and on a feed that is the difference between a video that holds someone and one they scroll past. A channel that works has a voice: a way it opens, a rhythm it keeps, words it avoids.
Without somewhere to write that down, you are re-explaining it in a prompt every single time and getting a slightly different answer.
What can a formula actually control?
The parts of a script that decide whether it sounds like you.
- The opening — how the first line earns the next three seconds.
- Pacing, in words per second, so the read fits the footage instead of being squeezed.
- Structure: how the middle is built and how it ends.
- Banned phrases, so the tics you hate never come back.
How do I know a formula is any good before I use it?
You test it. The Test tab runs your formula against a real clip and shows the script it produces, the word count and how long that will actually take to read at your chosen pace — so you find out before it is attached to a month of videos.
Formulas are per-plan: Creator keeps two, Studio five, Agency fifteen, and extra slots can be bought with Nerdium. Free and Starter plans do not include Script Lab.

Do I have to write a formula before I can generate anything?
No. The single-clip path works without one. A formula is what you write when the output is close but does not yet sound like your channel, and it applies to every video generated after you save it.
Can I stop the phrases I never want to hear again?
Yes. A formula carries a banned-phrase list, and anything on it is kept out of the scripts that formula produces — which is how an opening line you have grown tired of stops coming back.
